ART does TEACH.
It teaches through: Touch, Expression, Access, Challenge, Healing, Enriching, and Stimulation. This workshop provides not only motivation but also practical instructions for successful art projects that have been tested with visually impaired students.

Students and adults who are blind or have low vision.
 
Art can provide more than fun for the special needs student. It can be an enriching learning experience. Concepts that are difficult to teach come much more easily with hands-on art projects.
 
The activities included have actually been tested with blind and visually impaired youngsters. The material presented is being compiled into a handbook to be published for Teachers of the Visually Impaired. It is a three hour, hands-on workshop, but can be adapted for other formats.
